Utility Location

CorBuilt, LLC. uses the latest technology in Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) to locate sub-surface utilities for a number of applications.  CorBuilt specializes in utility clearing to support environmental soil borings among other operations, such as trenching, well drilling, concrete / floor saw cutting, soil remediation, test pit installation, and other general construction projects.  CorBuilt uses this combination of GPR and EMI to facilitate speed, accuracy, and verification of information obtained through the GPR and EMI surveys.

Underground Storage Tank (UST) Investigations

CorBuilt, LLC. conducts GPR surveys to locate / verify specific known UST's.  CorBuilt will also perform whole site GPR investigations for UST's and other underground anomalies.   

Geophysical Surveys

CorBuilt, LLC. performs GPR surveys to support geophysical investigations such as bedrock mapping, and also conducts surveys to support graveyard mapping.

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

CorBuilt, LLC. performs its GPR surveys using a Geophysical Survey Systems, Inc. SIR - 3000 unit with a 400 MHz antenna for deeper applications such as utility mapping to clear for construction projects and UST / anomaly investigations and large-scale 3D Imaging(down to approximately 12' depending on soil conditions), and a 1600 MHz antenna for concrete slab inspections and 3D Imaging to support core drilling operations.

Electromagnetic Induction (EMI)

CorBuilt, LLC. performs its EMI surveys using a McLaughlin G2 Verifier and a RadioDetection 7000+.  The EMI survey is a fast and accurate method of mapping metals underground, whether it be copper wire, cast iron water pipes, or tracer tapes that accompany many non-metal conduits (ie., natural gas lines).

Additional Equipment

CorBuilt, LLC. uses a variety of equipment to help facilitate our GPR and EMI surveys:

  • Video Pipe Camera: CorBuilt now offers video pipe inspections of utility conduits, storm sewers, and sanitary sewers.  Not only can the utility be located and mapped using the built-in transmiter in the camera head, but you can also get visual confirmation as to the condition of the utility and to determine direction when that snake or rodder doesn't go any further.  The camera comes equiped with a 200' reel, so going from manhole to manhole should be no issue. 
  • Schonstedt Magnetic Locator
  • 1000' Copper Core Rodder (Can be used to snake a large pipe or large conduit and traced by either inducing a signal directly on to the copper core using the EMI or attaching a battery powered Sonde Transmitter directly to the Rodder which is also detected using the EMI)
  • 200' Metal Snake (Used for smaller pipes and conduits and can be traced by inducing a signal directly on to the snake using the EMI)

CorBuilt, LLC. also has rudimentary field CAD drawing capabilities done in house, and can also have Auto-CAD Print Revisions done with associated CAD technicians.
